Chair yoga is inclusive and adaptable, making it beneficial for everyone, particularly individuals with mobility restrictions, seniors, or those who find traditional poses challenging. It offers another way to approach yoga and can be practiced while seated or with a chair for support.
Don’t let the term ‘chair yoga’ fool you—this class can be challenging, and you can increase or decrease the intensity of the yoga poses as you see fit, chair or no chair!
Chair yoga provides an excellent full-body workout. The health benefits are remarkable. Participants can experience enhanced flexibility, strength, posture, balance, mindfulness, and relaxation in a fun and supportive environment. It’s a great way to connect with your body and mind, regardless of your fitness level.

Ashtanga Vinyasa is a traditional system of yoga originating in Mysore, India, in the late 1940s and later introduced to America and the West in 1975. The three pillars of this energetic and structured style of yoga include asana (posture), pranayama (breath work), and drishti (gazing point).
These Ashtanga-inspired vinyasa flow classes are dynamic, combining breath with movement in a continuous sequence of poses.
The classes incorporate elements of traditional Ashtanga yoga, such as sun salutations, standing and seated poses, back-bending, and more, while allowing for more sequencing freedom and creativity.
You can expect moderate-paced, challenging, and energizing classes that build strength, flexibility, agility, balance, body awareness, and mental focus. Please be prepared to slow down occasionally so we can examine various poses in detail.
